Half Marathon Training Update

Image
This past Saturday, I joined Kathy and Janet for the six-mile training walk at Fleet Feet . These are two fast-walking women, and I love it! Their goal half marathon mileage is in the low 13:00 per mile pace. The last goal I set for a half marathon was a 14:30 mile. I crushed it at a 13:38 pace. These women might change my life! Saturday’s goal was to walk six miles, and somehow, we ended up walking 6.5 miles total. I have used the Strava app since logmyrun suggested it because it was going away. Apparently, Strava changed their free app in that I no longer can hear my half and full mile pace. I also can’t see what my average pace is - instead, I can only see what average miles per hour I’m walking. That’s dumb.   Tomorrow, I start my Pilates journey in the morning and will walk four miles with my training group at 6:30.  #health

This studio mandates new students to take eight one-on-one sessions, and the first is with their on-site physical therapist. He will tell me what my strengths are and what to watch out for. On Wednesday, I’ll have my first Pilates one-on-one with an instructor who will know exac...
